The Contemporary Circus and Immersive Arts Center’s mission is maintained in part by our three Signature Programs. We are committed to promoting, presenting and producing contemporary circus.
An Evening at Cirque du Soleil: OVO
Promote: Through original online video content such as our weekly circus news series This Week in Circus or our mini-series Circus Hiatus, to special events organized around circus performances such as An Evening at Cirque du Soleil: OVO, the CCIAC promotes the art form of circus as the art of the humanly possible.
Produce: By collaborating with artists and companies, the CCIAC aims to act as a lead producer on new work that can expand the art form of circus. This work can be seen in our creation residency, Artist First.
The Artist First program empowers and educates circus artists by placing them in the center of a show-creation experience that takes their creative concept to fruition. CCIAC collaborates with Artist First residents to build their skills for success in creative decision-making, design, budgeting, marketing, fundraising, production, and presentation. Each residency culminates with a fully produced, marketed and presented performance.
